Where It All Began
Our Story
Desi Adda’s journey began at Kingston Carnival, with nothing more than a handful of Bollywood songs played acoustically. But something special happened. Passers-by began singing along without being asked, strangers started connecting through the music, and in that moment, the idea of Desi Adda was born.
The word Adda says it best. It’s a place where people come together to hang out, talk, laugh and lose track of time. It’s more than a gathering; it’s a feeling of belonging. For us, that’s what the music is about. It should feel like home, not just another gig.
That connection is especially personal for our lead, Gautam, who grew up listening to these songs from an early age. The music has been part of his life since childhood, and today he brings that personal connection to every performance with the band.
Desi Adda is made up of Partho on guitar, Ganesh on cajón and Ron on bass when the show calls for it. Together, they create an intimate acoustic sound that puts the songs, the stories and, most importantly, the people at the heart of the experience.
What Makes Desi Adda Different?
A Desi Adda night feels less like a concert and more like singing together in someone’s living room.
There’s no barrier between the band and the audience. Just familiar songs, acoustic instruments, voices joining in and people enjoying the moment together. The words really land—and that’s where the magic happens.
So come as you are. Bring your friends, Sing along, make some memories, lose track of time in an intimate evening of soulful Bollywood music.
